A Conversation Between Leslie A.M. Smith and Dan Lipton

I’m back with a new vlog episode! This month I had the chance to talk to Dan Lipton, owner of Beach Cities Media and publisher of TRAVELHOST Beach Cities.

We are both active members of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and serve on its Small Business Council. I wanted to talk to Dan because he does an outstanding job of being in the community and of the community. His community relations tactics are a sincere part of who he is but also elevate his business.

He’s involved as a volunteer in a number of organizations and finds ways to showcase incredible nonprofits in his annual events and celebrations. He is not my client, but what he is doing is something I espouse and recommend to clients and prospects all the time. He’s doing it and I wanted to spotlight that!

We spent about a half an hour in our conversation, so get comfortable and watch the episode. Press here to watch now.

For nonprofit leaders, this model might spark some great ideas that you can propose to business owners who come to you and offer to “do something” to benefit your cause, but you aren’t sure what to suggest.

Thanks, Dan!
